Alex Dring is the wordings specialist at Consilium.
Alex has several years' experience within the London insurance market specialising in the drafting of policy wordings and associated clauses and bespoke documentation. He has gained experience in roles with Lloyd's and composite insurers, Hiscox, AXA-XL and Markel, meeting production requirements and advising stakeholders of advisory changes to contract documentation.
He is presently fulfilling a role not uncommon to the capacity providers, but relatively innovative in the MGA market, underpinning the importance of product quality, compliant with regulation, and supportive to our capacity providers and clients alike. His core focus is global property insurance and reinsurance spanning a varied client base ranging from consumer business to Fortune 500 companies.
Alex is also experienced with specialist products associated with film, entertainment and media insurance, as well as more traditional product lines including cyber, D&O, energy, equine, marine, personal accident, and professional indemnity.
Senior Account Executive
Alison Walker is a senior account executive at Consilium. Alison is responsible for renewals and new business for our UK non-motor team, covering a wide range of trades and classes of insurance.
She joined the group in July 2018 from Miles Smith, where she had been for nearly 12 years. Starting in the industry at a young age, Alison has carried our various roles in her career to date.
Outside of work, Alison once appeared in a documentary about the Von Trapp family and The Sound of Music.

Andrew Sommerville is a managing director at Consilium, responsible for specialty and aviation business.
He has over 36 years of experience working in the aviation sector, including 14 years at Aon, and 10 years at Marsh/Sedgwick. He joined Consilium in May 2021.
Outside of work, Andrew likes to play tennis and golf, and is just finishing up renovating a 500-year-old house.

Head of Specialist Risks
Andy Graham is head of specialist risks at Consilium. Andy is responsible for specialist liability risks and developing existing and new facilities for the group.
He joined the group in July 2020 having worked at Lloyd's broking firms for 34 years. This has included time at PWS International in UK account handling and time with Windsor Insurance Brokers specialising in liability. He then joined Griffiths and Armour London, which would later become COBRA London Markets, where he was a director.
Outside of work, Andy has both flown and jumped out of an aeroplane, among some other crazy things.

Delegated Underwriting Authority Technician
Antonia Good is a delegated underwriting authority technician at Consilium. Antonia focuses on coordinating aspects of client relationships and reviewing new and historical data attached to such agreements.
She has experience working for both a Lloyd’s broker and an MGA. She has also worked within an international non-marine treaty team, facing clients and legal counsel directly to carry out license approvals, as well as modelling in excel expected premium accruals for quarterly reviews.
If Antonia wasn't working for Consilium, you'd likely find her playing tennis. She used to compete when she was younger. Antonia also loves languages and her long term goal is to be fluent in both Russian and Mandarin.

Billie Simmonds is an accounts administrator at Consilium. Billie is responsible for dealing with various queries from agents and insurers, and providing administrative support to the senior account executives and head of motor.
She joined the group in May 2017 having previously worked as a commercial motor support technician at LV= Insurance and supported various motor teams.
Outside of work, Billie enjoys going out socialising, and meeting up with friends.

Bradley Aldridge is an account executive for Consilium. Brad specialises in UK casualty and non-motor accounts.
He started his insurance career when he joined Consilium in 2017.
When Brad isn’t working for Consilium, he can be found playing golf. He is a member of Upminster Golf Club and has a handicap of plus two. He is also a life-long suffering Tottenham fan.

Senior Account Executive
Chris McAdams is a senior account executive for Consilium. Chris works in the motor fleet team and is responsible for strategic business placement and broker/underwriter relationship building.
He joined the group in November 2020 and has over 11 years of experience in motor fleet insurance. This has included involvement in both underwriting and broking for Lloyd’s syndicates and national brokers.
When he isn’t working for Consilium, you'll often find Chris on the golf course “trying” to improve his handicap.

Founder and CEO
David Bearman is the founder and CEO of Aventum Group, chairman of Rokstone Group, and CEO of Consilium.
David developed what is today Aventum Group as an 18-year-old in 1996. Since then he has forged a unique path forward, taking the business from a small commercial retail broker, to a global (re)insurance broking and underwriting business, on course to control $1bn GWP by 2023.
On this 25-year journey to date, David has been at the heart of both the London market broking and MGA scenes, founding successful brands in sectors of these markets where he sees opportunity.
Alongside his experience placing and underwriting reinsurance and insurance products, schemes and delegated authority arrangements, he has also established and developed many of these products. These include Property, Casualty, Motor Fleet, Plant & Equipment, Marine Cargo, Legal Expenses, Professional Indemnity, Latent Defects and Extended Warranty, which he has marketed across multiple trades and industries.
He has achieved and developed relationships with numerous global capacity providers, forming an extensive client network with a results-focused approach as a core business strategy.
Most of all though David is an entrepreneurial leader. He has built the Group from the ground up all without external investment, and is constantly seeking out new directions to expand the Group. He looks to bring in talent that shares his attitude to working, and finding new ways to break from traditional ways of providing insurance.
Senior Account Executive
Dean Temple is a senior account executive at Consilium. Dean is responsible for motor fleet renewals and growing new business in London through the Lloyd’s and MGA markets.
He joined the group in 2018, and has 37 years of motor fleet experience. He previously spent five years as an underwriter at Brit Insurance before moving to Catlin to help set up a new motor fleet department.
If he wasn't working for Consilium, you would find him watching new bands live every week at various venues.

Ethan Davey is an account handler in the non-motor sales team at Consilium. Ethan is responsible for handling accounts, and ensuring the process runs smoothly.
He has been in the insurance industry for over two years, having previously been employed by Marsh. His main focus is to be a broker and build great lasting relationships with brokers and insurers.
If Ethan wasn’t working at Consilium he would most likely be on his football scholarship in America trying to make it a career.

Processing Team Leader
Georgia Thurgood is the processing team leader at Consilium. Georgia is responsible for the admin team on non-motor and ensuring all risks are managed smoothly and efficiently.
Georgia joined the group in May 2014, initially as a senior account administrator. Before that she worked within insurance at Xchanging for over a year.
When Georgia isn’t working for Consilium, you can find her hiking, and doing anything environmentally friendly. She would love to go completely eco one day.

Non-Motor Renewals Manager
Graham Adams is an account executive for Consilium. Graham works in our UK non-motor department.
He joined the group in January 2018, having previously worked at a well-established Lloyd’s broker specialising in the construction industry. He has over six years’ experience across a number of insurance-based roles and classes.
If he wasn’t working at Consilium, Graham would probably be paddle boarding along a beach.

Delegated Authority Technician
Hannah Esposito is a delegated authority technician at Consilium within the DUA team.
Her experience includes 12 years within the insurance industry working for both insurers and brokers. Hannah started out in insurance working for Xchanging and has in-depth knowledge of the Lloyd’s market.

Hayley Lewin is an account handler at Consilium. Hayley is responsible for the handling and processing of new business and renewals within the non-motor team, mainly focusing on the liability/casualty side.
Hayley previously worked for another London market broker for four years on their casualty department in a similar role which gave her the experience and knowledge needed to work efficiently with agents and underwriters.
Outside of work, Hayley enjoys drawing and has recently started transitioning towards digital art from the traditional pencil and paper.

Head of Motor
Kevin Dawes is the head of motor for Consilium. Kevin oversees motor fleet placement for the division.
He joined the group in October 2020 and has over 20 years of London market motor fleet experience, both in broking and underwriting. He was previously head of motor underwriting for HDI Global, and is a very well-known and respected figure in the market, able to help with difficult to place risks.
Kevin is an FA qualified football coach and much of his spare time is devoted to training and developing players.

Senior Account Executive
Liam Keaveney is a senior account executive at Consilium. Liam works with our UK brokers to ensure they receive swift and professional service for their London market fleet business.
He joined the group in 2012, initially in charge of online marketing/development from our Billericay retail office. From there he has moved up and carved a path within the motor fleet team since its inception in 2013.
Liam is an avid motorsport fan and a general fan of all things on four wheels. Most years he can be found at the annual Nürburgring 24-hour and Le Mans 24-hour races watching and wishing he was taking part

Senior Account Executive
Marc Rapley is a senior account executive at Consilium. He deals with all business classes and sectors, but in particular waste and recycling and high risk contractors from a property and casualty perspective.
He joined the group in November 2018 and has over 15 years’ experience in the insurance industry. After starting out working for an underwriting agency, over the last 10 years he has worked for various Lloyd’s brokers.
As an avid football fan, Marc spends much of his spare time following Chelsea FC across the country. Outside of football, Marc’s other main interest is music and he has been playing the guitar since the age of nine.

Head of UK Wholesale
Matthew Pini is the group head of UK wholesale for Consilium. Matt is responsible for the growth, development and profitability of the division, striving to achieve this by working closely with insurers and retail agents alike.
He joined the group in July 2015 and has spent a total of 25 years within the London market working for various Lloyd’s brokers. In that time he has forged strong relationships with underwriters that allow for the very best deals to be negotiated and transacted.
When he isn’t working for Consilium, Matt can be found running his son’s football team. He is also a pained Everton supporter.

Michael Adams is a senior broker at Consilium. Michael is responsible for risk placement into the Lloyd’s and London market across all UK classes, but has a large focus on casualty business.
He joined the group in March 2018, having previously worked as a Lloyd’s broker for Folgate Insurance. Prior to that, he had 10 years’ experience in senior claims roles with insurers/brokers including QBE and Gallagher.
If Michael wasn’t working for Consilium he would be travelling the world following Spurs whilst enduring a continued lifetime of football misery.

Professional Indemnity and Financial Lines Manager
Mike Newson is the manager of the professional and financial lines team at Consilium. Mike focusses on all classes of professional indemnity for UK and international clients and producers.
Mike joined the group in November 2020 and has over 30 years of experience handling PI, having previously worked at Willis and Gallagher for 23 and seven years respectively. In that time he handled all aspects of PI risks for UK and international clients, and both corporate and independent producers – taking such risks to insurers in the London, UK and international markets.
When he isn’t working for Consilium, Mike can be found playing football or golf, at the gym, watching Spurs, or enjoying a number of other hobbies – when not being run off his feet by his son that is.

Business Development Manager - South
Shaun Woodhouse is a business development manager at Consilium.
Shaun joined Consilium in September 2018, having before this spent over 18 years as a sales professional within the insurance services, broking and legal sectors.
Outside of work, Shaun is a massive animal lover (dogs and horses) and collects classic motorcycles, with 14 so far.

Business Development Manager - North
Simon England is a business development manager for the North, Scotland and Ireland divisions of Consilium. Simon is responsible for the ongoing support, education and engagement of our broker partners.
Simon joined the group in August 2020 and has more than 30 years of industry experience, having previously worked for a number of large insurers, MGAs, a Lloyd’s retail business, and a network provider. Initially an underwriter, writing business in the fleet, property, liability and financial lines arena, Simon moved into development roles 15 years ago.
If he wasn’t working for Consilium, he would probably be travelling the world spending his kids’ inheritance and playing golf on some of the world’s best courses.

Delegated Underwriting Authority Manager
Stuart Backhouse is the DUA manager at Consilium. He is responsible for the management of group delegated authority arrangements, supporting the on boarding, placement and lifecycle oversight activity aspects on behalf of our trading platforms and insurer partners.
Stuart joined the group in December 2019, having previously worked in the delegated authority space for a number of firms, including MS Amlin and Hardy Syndicate.
If Stuart wasn't working for Consilium, you'd find him travelling to F1 circuits or concert venues for live band performances.

Senior Account Executive
Tracey Bailey is a senior account executive for Consilium. Tracey is responsible for placing motor fleet business into the Lloyd’s market, looking after the renewals of our fleet clients placed within Lloyd’s, and giving support to our retail agents.
She joined the group in May 2015, and has 25 years of fleet underwriting experience, working at Markel, Brit and QBE.
When Tracey isn’t working for Consilium, you could find her spending time on her allotment and upcycling anything made of wood – her favourite lockdown purchase has been a new sander.
“Having been on the insurance company side of the industry all my career I saw this as an exciting opportunity to take on a broking role within Lloyd’s. When I joined the London team we were much smaller and it’s been great to be part of a company that has grown and diversified so much over the past six years.”
New Business Executive
Solomon Archer-Scott is a new business executive for Consilium.
Solomon joined Consilium in June 2021, with three years’ experience as an account handler in the London market, working for Citynet and Miles Smith.
Outside of work, Solomon is originally from Cornwall and enjoys surfing, although living in London has made this more difficult. He likes travelling to the coast at weekends when he can.

Aviation Account Handler
Amelia Burton-Race is an aviation account handler at ConsiliumRe.
She joined ConsiliumRe in June 2021, having previously spent a year as an aviation account manager, and before that worked for Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty.
Outside of work, Amelia likes to travel, find new restaurant spots, and spend time with her family or watching box sets.
