Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Broker Services Executive. The role is an integral part of the new business support team concept, new to Aventum and is part of a series of changes happening across the organisation. Knowledge of working with best in class processes and systems is essential, together with the willingness, ability and hands on approach to help shape the business support function.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Broker Services Executive to help build a key function in a growing business. The Company has grown quickly and has ambitious plans to further expand through a combination of both organic and acquisition of other companies.
Role Responbilities
General administrative duties including scanning, filing, entering data onto relevant spreadsheets and preparing and production of Insurance documents and contract endorsements
Liaise with brokers on a daily basis, answering incoming telephone calls and chasing brokers for any additional data required
Maintenance of Underwriter’s bordereaux through the use of Microsoft Excel
Inputting & updating policies on in-house systems
Account management including renewal chasers through to file closures
Maintain an electronic and paper filing system
Full responsibility of handling all transactions placed via Lloyd’s through Xchanging systems, including the reconciliation of queries
Develop and maintain an understanding of the clients and prospects
Negotiating extensions with underwriters and premiums on MTA’s
Providing broker support and creating documentation to be taken to the market e.g. creation of an MRC slip
Management of in-house schemes, ensuring Bordereau’s are up to date and all data recorded is accurate
Booking surveys on behalf of insurers and maintaining communication with brokers on all requirements following issuance of reports
Carrying out reviews to ensure the quality of both personal outputs and those of the wider team
Use formal reporting mechanisms, as defined by Risk and Compliance or Internal Audit, to promptly notify relevant parties of any perceived new risks or failures of existing control measures.
At all times, consider the effect of any actions taken on the customers of the Company, with the intention of improving their experience.

Role Requirements
The role requires previous experience working in the Commercial department of a Lloyd’s Broker.
Experience in Motor business is preferred for this role.
Experience in processing policy endorsements and slips coupled with strong technical knowledge
Experience in using the Xchanging system would be beneficial
Insurance qualifications e.g. CII. (Desirable).
