April Manager of the Month

May 21

And in this all-important penultimate month of the season it was long-time league leader Cormac Murphy who once again emerged from the pack to win Manager of the Month for April, picking up a massive 320 points to edge out David Carbutt by just four points for the bottle of champagne prize. That win also puts him in prime position to take the overall league title, and top prize of the Apple Watch. Having entered the month 31 points ahead of closest rival Paul McNally, he currently sits 58 points clear, with just a couple more weeks of the season to go.

While most managers will now be out of the running for the overall league title, don’t forget there’s still a final bottle of champagne up for grabs in the May Manager of the Month contest. The final week of the season is infamous for throwing up some weird and wonderful results among the teams with little to play for (Middlesborough 8-1 Man City anybody?), leaving it well and truly open for anyone to have a tilt at winning. Picking an unfancied player as captain could prove a masterstroke if it comes off, potentially catapulting a manager from bottom to top in the May standings, ending your season on a high note with a nice bottle of bubbly!

Manager of the Month

As mentioned above, Cormac Murphy of Caulfield Insurance was our leading fantasy football point scorer in the month of April with 320 points. Congratulations Cormac, a bottle of champagne is on its way to you!
