The Consilium Motor Fleet team recently managed to claim a major win with a specialist logistics operator for the music industry, doing both UK-based and overseas work.
Working on the account created significant challenges for Head of Motor Kev Dawes and his team, in part due to a lack of flexibility being shown by the incumbent insurer, and in part due to risk engineering work that had to be undertaken to improve the overall risk profile.
We closely inspected the risk, and with our in-house risk management expertise, were able to advise on actions the client should take to get them the required cover, and reduce their premium at the same time.
Having understood the exact operations of the client and associated risks attached, we set about finding a new market for client. We approached several of our markets looking for the most comprehensive policy on the best terms, and bound cover on a long term three year deal, with the European Union included, at a premium of around £200k.
The client was very happy and impressed that we had found for them this solution, and also very impressed at our risk management focus.
“In the face of inflexibility displayed by the incumbent insurer, we proved the value of having a quality wholesaler on your side. With the experience and contacts held by the talent in our ranks, we identified another underwriter able to take on this risk, and delivered a solution that satisfied all parties.”
