Consilium is pleased to announce that we are continuing to build our International Property Risk Solutions team, with the appointment of Rory Hardingham as Partner.
Meet Rory
Based in London, Rory joins Consilium from Willis Towers Watson, where he spent the last five years as Lead Associate. He brings more than a decade of experience across underwriting and broking, with a particular focus on international property business from around the world.
For brokers placing business in those markets, this combination of technical knowledge, market experience and established relationships provides another layer of expertise to the team.
Rory’s experience will help Consilium develop our international property proposition with his additional knowledge of important markets, while his wider expertise includes complex and challenging property exposures across international territories.

Building the Team Around Specialist Expertise
Rory joins a newly established International Property Risk Solutions team headed up by Senior Partner Paul Hargis, who leads its development.
The team has a broad international remit, supporting property risks across Africa, Australia, New Zealand, the Caribbean, Europe and the Middle Eastern GCC countries. Its appetite stretches from primary and buffer layers through to excess and high excess, with solutions including:
Deductible buydowns
Quota share and co-insurance programmes
Natural catastrophe risks
Complex or hard-to-place property risks
The team is built for property risks that often need more thought than a standard placement, with appetite including:
Technical and wording support is available throughout the lifecycle of a risk, helping brokers and clients understand how the coverage is structured, how the policy responds and whether the wording reflects what the client needs.
That is essential in dealing with international business, where getting the structure right is only part of the job. Consilium’s independence also gives the team the freedom to look across the London Market and global markets rather than being restricted to particular capacity or placement routes.
