Consilium Welcomes Jonathan Haasz as Head of Risk and Compliance

We are pleased to announce that we have reached a point where having dedicated expertise in risk and compliance is essential, not just for our business, but also for our brokers and clients. So we are excited to welcome Jonathan Haasz as our new Head of Risk and Compliance, establishing a dedicated risk and compliance function within Consilium.

Jonathan joins us from Hardon Insurance Company, where he was Head of Risk and Compliance. He has 20 years of experience in insurance, law, regulation, compliance and risk, having held senior risk and compliance positions at global brokers such as Marsh and Willis, as well as at the Brightside Group.

His experience spans both insurance and reinsurance markets, giving him a broad understanding of the risks, responsibilities and regulatory requirements that come with operating in the specialty insurance sector.

For Consilium, this appointment establishes the right expertise and structure as we continue to grow, while maintaining the entrepreneurial approach that has always been central to our operations.

Jonathan’s role will help ensure Consilium’s risk and compliance framework works for the way the business operates, providing the right foundations while allowing our brokers to continue finding high-quality, tailored solutions for clients.

Independence, with the Strength of the Wider Group

Jonathan’s appointment reinforces something fundamental to Consilium’s proposition: our independence as a wholesale broker.

Consilium is part of Aventum, a wider specialty insurance group that includes a number of MGA businesses. However, our wholesale broking activities are distinctly separate. This gives our brokers the freedom to structure placements without restrictions, giving them access to the full breadth of the London Market and global markets to find the best solutions for our clients.

Having a dedicated risk and compliance function strengthens that separation, while allowing Consilium to make the most of the expertise and collaboration available across the wider group.
