UK & Ireland Risk Solutions

Matt Pini heads up the UK & Ireland Risk Solutions division at Consilium. Matt is responsible for the growth, development and profitability of the division, striving to achieve this by working closely with insurers and retail agents alike.

He joined the group in July 2015 and has spent a total of 30 years within the London market working for various Lloyd’s brokers. In that time he has forged strong relationships with underwriters that allow for the very best deals to be negotiated and transacted.

When he isn’t working for Consilium, Matt can be found running his son’s football team. He is also a pained Everton supporter.

As Senior Partner and Head of UK P&C, Michael Adams’ specialist classes include Property and Casualty. With 20 years of experience, ten in Broking and ten in Claims, Michael’s work covers locations across the UK. Away from the office, Michael enjoys spending time with his wife and three children and playing golf when he can.

Kevin Dawes is Senior Partner - Head of Motor for UK & Ireland Risk Solutions. Kevin oversees motor fleet placement for the division.

He joined the group in October 2020 and has over 20 years of London market motor fleet experience, both in broking and underwriting. He was previously head of motor underwriting for HDI Global, and is a very well-known and respected figure in the market, able to help with difficult to place risks.

Kevin is an FA qualified football coach and much of his spare time is devoted to training and developing players.

Simon England is a business development manager for the North, Scotland and Ireland divisions of Consilium. Simon is responsible for the ongoing support, education and engagement of our broker partners.

Simon joined the group in August 2020 and has more than 30 years of industry experience, having previously worked for a number of large insurers, MGAs, a Lloyd’s retail business, and a network provider. Initially an underwriter, writing business in the fleet, property, liability and financial lines arena, Simon moved into development roles 15 years ago.

If he wasn’t working for Consilium, he would probably be travelling the world spending his kids’ inheritance and playing golf on some of the world’s best courses.

As a UK & Ireland Risk Solutions Senior Associate, Tom Gibbins’ specialist classes include Property and Casualty. With four years of experience, Tom’s sector experience lies in all types of Contractors/Combined Liability Inc, Commercial Combined Packages, Trading Property, Property Owners and Life Science covering locations across the UK and Ireland. Away from work, Tom enjoys playing rugby and golf.

Marc Rapley is an Associate Partner in the UK & Ireland Risk Solutions division. He deals with all business classes and sectors, but in particular waste and recycling and high-risk contractors from a property and casualty perspective.

He joined the group in November 2018 and has over 20 years’ experience in the insurance industry. After starting out working for an underwriting agency, over the last 15 years he has worked for various Lloyd’s brokers.

As an avid football fan, Marc spends much of his spare time following Chelsea FC. Outside of football, Marc’s other main interest is music and he has been playing the guitar since the age of nine.

Chris McAdams is a Associate Partner for Consilium. Chris works in the motor fleet team and is responsible for strategic business placement and broker/underwriter relationship building.

He joined the group in November 2020 and has over 15 years of experience in motor fleet insurance. This has included involvement in both underwriting and broking for Lloyd’s syndicates and national brokers.

When he isn’t working for Consilium, you'll often find Chris on the golf course “trying” to improve his handicap.

As Associate Partner, Senior Underwriter Luke Browne’s specialist classes include Casualty, Employers’ Liability, Public Liability, CAT and Plant. With over ten years of experience, Luke’s sector expertise lies in Construction, covering locations across the UK and Ireland. 

David Ireland is a Senior Associate at Consilium, responsible for renewals for the UK non-motor team.
He joined the group in March 2022, with over 35 years’ insurance experience. This includes over 10 years with an MGA and the rest with three different Lloyd’s brokers in the UK and Irish non motor markets.
Outside of work, David enjoys watching sport and playing golf and football. He also likes music, film and travelling.

Dean Temple is a Senior Associate at Consilium. Dean is responsible for motor fleet renewals and growing new business in London through the Lloyd’s and MGA markets.

He joined the group in 2018, and has 40 years of motor fleet experience. He previously spent five years as an underwriter at Brit Insurance before moving to Catlin to help set up a new motor fleet department.

If he wasn't working for Consilium, you would find him watching new bands live every week at various venues.

Shaun Woodhouse is a Senior Associate at Consilium.

Shaun joined Consilium in September 2018, having before this spent over 18 years as a sales professional within the insurance, broking, specialist bespoke product delivery and legal sectors.

Outside of work, Shaun has a relaxed life in the countryside with his dogs, he holds a keen interest in all sports/motorsports and has a large collection of motorcycles.

As a Senior Associate in the Risk Solutions team, Callum Sullivan’s specialist classes are Property and Casualty. With just over six years of experience, Callum’s sector experience lies in Waste and Recycling, Construction, Asbestos and Plant and Machinery, covering locations around the UK and Ireland.

Alison Walker is a Senior Associate at Consilium. Alison is responsible for renewals for our UK non-motor team, covering a wide range of trades and classes of insurance.

She joined the group in July 2018 from Miles Smith, where she had been for nearly 12 years. Starting in the industry at a young age, Alison has carried our various roles in her career to date.

Outside of work, Alison once appeared in a documentary about the Von Trapp family and The Sound of Music.

Liam Keaveney is a Senior Associate at Consilium. Liam works with our UK brokers to ensure they receive swift and professional service for their London market fleet business.

He joined the group in 2012, initially in charge of development from our Billericay retail office. From there he has moved up and carved a path within the motor fleet team since its inception in 2013.

Liam is an avid motorsport fan and a general fan of all things on four wheels. Most years he can be found at the annual Nürburgring 24-hour and Le Mans 24-hour races watching and wishing he was taking part

Hayley Lewin is an Senior Associate at Consilium. Hayley is responsible for the handling and processing of renewals within the non-motor team, mainly focusing on the liability/casualty side.

Hayley previously worked for another London market broker for four years on their casualty department in a similar role which gave her the experience and knowledge needed to work efficiently with agents and underwriters.

Outside of work, Hayley enjoys drawing and has recently started transitioning towards digital art from the traditional pencil and paper.

As Senior Associate within the UK & Ireland Risk Solutions team, Tom’s specialist classes include Casualty, Contractors All Risks and Property. With seven years of experience, Tom’s industry knowledge lies in high-risk construction, manufacturers, wholesalers and unoccupied properties covering locations across the UK. Away from work, Tom has a tainted love-hate relationship with Arsenal Football Club.

As an Senior Associate, Toby Block’s specialist classes are Professional Indemnity and Casualty. With over eight years of experience, Toby’s sector expertise lies in Design and Construction, Architects and Engineers and Accountants, covering locations across the UK and Ireland. When he was younger, Toby trialled for Crystal Palace football club, however now he admits to having two left feet.

As an Associate in the Risk Solutions team, James Attwood’s specialist classes include CAR, Casualty and Property. With six years of experience in insurance, James’ sector expertise lies in Liability, Property, Construction and Waste and Recycling, covering locations across the UK and Ireland. Away from work, James enjoys playing golf and going to the gym.

As an Associate in the Risk Solutions team, Niamh Richards’ specialist classes include UK Property and Casualty. Having started in the Client Services Team in July 2023, Niamh moved into the broking team in September 2025, where their sector expertise lies in Property, Casualty and Waste and Recycling. Outside of work, Niamh enjoys going to the gym and doing Pilates classes, as well as going on trips with friends and exploring different cities.

As a UK & Ireland Risk Solutions Associate, David MacMullen’s specialist class is Motor. With three years of experience, David’s sector experience lies in Motor Trade and Taxi, covering locations around the UK and Ireland. Away from work, David is a big Arsenal supporter and is often found on the golf course.
